Mayawati Condemns Attack on SAD Leader and Calls for Government Action
Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati has condemned the recent attack on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, which occurred in Nanded, Maharashtra, on Thursday. In a post on X, she described the incident as “highly condemnable and concerning,” urging the government to take immediate action against the perpetrators, whom she labeled as casteist and feudal elements. Mayawati called for strict legal measures to ensure those responsible are held accountable and imprisoned.
Additionally, she emphasized that the head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh should also acknowledge the incident, especially given ongoing discussions about the rights of economically empowered Dalits regarding reservation policies.
