Government and policy briefing: SC dismisses plea against AP HC order quashing case against CM Chandrababu

On Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed the citizens of the state during the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Amaravati. He called for collective efforts to position both the state and the country as leaders by the year 2047. Naidu emphasized the importance of unity and hard work in achieving this ambitious goal.

Naidu pointed out that the state’s growth rate has risen to 11.3 percent after his government put all systems back on track and accused the previous YSRCP government of leaving nearly ₹ 10 lakh crore in debt, which turned into burden for state. The CM underlined that the coalition government has spent ₹ 1.56 lakh crore on welfare and ₹ 1.34 lakh crore on development in 26 months. Further, Naidu said the government has set a target to build houses for all by 2029 and that housing documents are being issued to eligible people residing on government lands for a long period.

Noting that decentralised development is the government’s policy, Naidu said we are working towards developing all regions and empowering all sections.

A strong state is needed for Viksit Bharat and a strong country for SwarnaAndhra. Delivering his Independence Day address at the Parade Ground in Nelapadu village of the greenfield capital city of Amaravati, the Chief Minister said the country attained freedom 80 years ago and urged people to work towards winning the world in the next 20 years. There is no difference between Viksit Bharat – 2047 goal and SwarnaAndhra goals, according to the CM.

“Let’s work towards making the country and the state number one by 2047…80 years ago we procured our independence and now let’s work towards winning the world in the next 20 years,” said the CM.
