Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has expressed concerns regarding India’s Gen Z population. While he acknowledges that many young individuals are thriving, he also highlights troubling trends. Ramdev points out that some young people are becoming involved in violence, substance abuse, and unstable relationships.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Ramdev said that not all young people should be viewed through the same lens, pointing out that many members of Gen Z are doing well. However, he criticised what he described as unhealthy trends among some youngsters. “Many Gen Zs are doing well also, but some are into violence, have multiple boyfriends or girlfriends. Ramdev also took aim at those who believe that nothing is going right in India, saying that some people are politically frustrated and are dreaming of reaching the Prime Minister’s chair.

Some are into smoking bidis and cigarettes and drinking alcohol,” Ramdev said. “If the country is to make you Prime Minister, then have some patience,” Ramdev said, while stressing that political opposition was natural but should not turn into personal enmity between the ruling and opposition camps. “There is chaos all over the country,” Ramdev said, adding that students were leaving smaller schools because of inadequate infrastructure and teaching resources.
