The West Bengal Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended three individuals in Cooch Behar district due to their suspected connections with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). This operation marks a significant step in ongoing efforts to address national security concerns related to foreign intelligence activities in the region.

Remanded in police custody

An official said on Saturday that the three accused were arrested for their alleged involvement in espionage activities linked to Pakistan’s ISI, news agency PTI reported. The arrested individuals have been identified as Rashidul Haque, Nur Nasiruddin Ali, and Shafiqul Islam. The accused were produced in court on Saturday and remanded in police custody for 14 days.
