A group of leaders from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) faced violence during a recent visit to a village in Jaipur for a school inspection. They were attacked and subsequently chased out of the area. Details regarding the motivations behind the attack or the identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
The CJP leaders, led by party co-founder Ashutosh Ranka, came under attack when they were on their way to visit a government primary school in Jaipur’s Bagru Assembly constituency on Friday. Rajasthan Home Minister Jawahar Singh Bedam claimed it was the Congress that was creating trouble in the garb of the CJP While Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara blamed the BJP for the attack.
Jaipur MLA Swami Balmukundacharya, who is from the BJP, said that the locals don’t agree with the CJP’s views. Another villager said, “This area has not seen any development. Earlier reporting noted: One of the volunteers suffered a fractured arm in the attack, Ranka said.
