Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad took a dig at the team management after spinner Kuldeep Yadav was left out of India’s playing XI for the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo. After winning the toss and electing to bat, skipper Shubman Gill revealed that Saransh had replaced Kuldeep, who was unavailable for selection due to an infection. India handed a Test debut to 33-year-old Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Saransh Jain , who became India’s oldest Test debutant in the 21st century.
Saransh Set for Debut as Kuldeep Misses Out Due to Infections
Kuldeep will not participate in the match due to infections. As a result, Saransh is set to make his debut for India. This announcement was made by Gill during the toss.

Dinesh Chandimal is not playing due to injury sustained during the Galle Test, with his concussion substitute Pasindu Sooriyabandara in the team.
