A tragic accident occurred on Sunday morning on the Indraprastha (IP) flyover near ITO in central Delhi, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old man named Aman. He was riding a motorcycle with a 22-year-old friend, who sustained injuries in the collision with a truck. Aman was a resident of Madanpur Khadar in south Delhi. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Tempo driver arrested
Police are scanning CCTV cameras to identify the truck. A case of rash driving and death by negligence has been registered, police added. In the first road accident, a 19-year-old man was killed, and his 22-year-old friend was injured after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by an unknown truck at Indraprastha (IP) flyover near the ITO in central Delhi on Sunday morning. Deputy commissioner of police (Central) Rohit Rajbir Singh said that around 6.21am on Sunday, the IP Estate police station received a call about a road accident on the IP flyover. Police impounded the tempo and arrested the driver identified as 29-year-old Lalit.
Police said a case of rash and negligent driving causing death and injury was registered. At least two men were killed, and another was injured in two separate road accidents between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, police said.
