Living in another country can bring new experiences, but it can also come with high everyday expenses. Dev Vijay Vargiya shared a breakdown of his expenses in Japan so far on Instagram. He noted that while his monthly salary hadn’t yet been credited to his account, his spending had already exceeded his planned budget. This tally covered rent, electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi, a SIM card, and transportation, but excluded the cost of food and daily necessities.
An Indian man living in Japan recently added up his spending and was surprised to find that he had already spent nearly Rs 1 lakh on basic costs in just 25 days.

He explained that this amount covered housing and other essential costs, whereas food and daily necessities are among his biggest expenses in Japan. Vargiya clarified that the figure of around Rs 90,000 did not represent his total expenditure, it did not include the cost of food and daily purchases.
