But for an Indian woman in Japan, the situation took an emotional turn when she discovered that a stranger had already handed her purse over to the police with everything still inside. Losing a purse with cash, house keys and an expensive gadget can be a stressful experience, especially when it contains belongings worth around Rs 1 lakh.

Sonam Midha shared the incident in a video on Instagram. She mentioned that the purse contained a recently purchased DJI microphone, cash, and house keys. Unable to find the purse, she decided to go to the police station to file a report. As soon as she saw the purse, Midha recognised it as her own. A stranger had handed it over to the police, and all the items inside were safe. Moved by the incident, Midha praised the kindness of the people there, remarking that humanity still exists. She also expressed her gratitude to Japan.
She recounted how she feared losing belongings worth approximately Rs 1 lakh after leaving her purse behind on a rented bicycle.
