New Delhi, The Jaipur Literature Festival will celebrate its landmark 20th edition from January 14 to 18 next year, marking two decades of literary exchange, cultural dialogue and multilingual storytelling, organisers said on Tuesday.
Jaipur Literature Festival Celebrates 20 Years of Literary Heritage
The 20th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) will take place at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur, supported by the Rajasthan government. This year’s theme is “20 Years of Ideas. Stories. Conversations.”
Namita Gokhale, co-director of JLF and an award-winning author, emphasized the festival’s tribute to India’s linguistic diversity through the ‘Bhasha Swarmala’ series, stating, “The soul of India lies in her literary heritage and linguistic diversity.”
Sanjoy K. Roy, managing director of Teamwork Arts and producer of JLF, highlighted the festival’s foundation on the belief that books and ideas unite people. He noted, “What has sustained the festival is the generosity of our writers, the curiosity of our audiences, and a shared commitment to dialogue across languages, cultures, and perspectives.”
Preeta Singh, president of Teamwork Arts, remarked on the festival’s evolution into a major literary and cultural platform, while maintaining a focus on books, ideas, and meaningful dialogue.
She said the next chapter would focus on deeper collaborations, reaching new audiences and creating greater cultural impact in India and around the world.
