Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has responded to accusations that his political satirical group collaborated with a specific political party during the recent Jantar Mantar protest. In a satirical remark, he suggested that the political parties involved should determine among themselves which of them is the CJP’s ‘B team.’ This comment underscores the ongoing scrutiny of political affiliations and accountability in the context of the protest.
He said that for him, CJP is ‘A team’ of students.
I feel all these people should sit together and decide whose B team I am. CJP, which was founded as a satirical political outfit, is now working as a pressure group with a larger team across India. The Jantar Mantar protest led by the outfit forced the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as education minister over irregularities in NEET-UG exam. Currently, the CJP is working on its nationwide ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign aimed at inspecting and improving the state of government schools in India. He claimed that different political parties were working on the issue of government schools and students and questioned by the BJP objected to it. “People are really running out of patience waiting to see my degree.
Makes me wonder how they’ve managed for 12 years without seeing the Prime Minister’s,” the CJP founder said in a post on X.
“Maharashtra Chief Minister says that I am B team of Congress, and some say that I am B team of Aam Aadmi Party. We are students’ A team,” Dipke said while talking to reporters, according to us. Dipke said that the campaign should get support across the political spectrum instead of being viewed as a step taken by any one political organisation.
