Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, co-convenors of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), have agreed to delete social media posts targeting BJP leader and senior advocate Gaurav Bhatia. This decision follows a recommendation from the Delhi High Court on Thursday.
“There are different ways of protesting. You are all youngsters. You may have anxieties. Bhatia appeared in person. The case comes after a war of words erupted between Das and Bhatia.
But attacking like this without verifying is not correct,” the court said, according to LiveLaw . The counsel for Saruav Das submitted that the tweet in question had already been deleted, according to news agency ANI. Das shared a post claiming the BJP spokesperson had called right-wing ‘influencer’ Swatantra Bhardwaj a “dimagi naxal”, following which, Bhatia said on Saturday that it was “fake” and asked Das to remove the post within 24 hours and offer an unconditional apology. “Nonetheless, I challenge any leader in the BJP to repeat this line,” Das said.
