This gesture underscores the cultural ties between India and Russia amidst ongoing geopolitical discussions.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with a Russian-language edition of the Thirukkural, a significant work of Tamil literature. This text, comprising 1,330 couplets on ethics, governance, love, and personal conduct, underscores India’s rich literary and cultural heritage. By choosing this accessible format, Modi aimed to foster cultural ties and enhance diplomatic relations with Russia.
The two leaders are likely to discuss an ambitious target of taking bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030, along with measures to create more business-to-business opportunities and improve access for Indian companies to the Russian market, according to sources.
Sources said the leaders could also discuss greater mobility of skilled workers, including increasing the number of Indian skilled workers travelling to Russia.
