The Supreme Court on Monday announced a new Hindi public information service under which simple Hindi summaries of selected important judgments and orders will be made available along with daily 15-30 minute audio and video bulletins explaining key rulings.

Supreme Court Launches Hindi Service for Accessible Legal Information

On Hindi Diwas, the Supreme Court announced an initiative to make its key decisions more accessible to the public. This service aims to help ordinary citizens and litigants, especially those who struggle with lengthy legal texts.

A press statement revealed that the Hindi service will be launched soon, complete with summaries linking to the original judgments or orders. Additionally, audio and video bulletins will be provided to help users better understand important rulings and their implications.

This initiative is also designed to support individuals with disabilities. Initially available in Hindi, the court plans to expand the service to other Indian languages in phases, ensuring that vital legal information reaches citizens in languages they are comfortable with.
