The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it will re-conduct the UGC-NET June 2026 examinations for the subjects of English, Commerce, and Sociology. This decision follows the identification of errors in the original question papers by an expert committee. The NTA confirmed that candidates will not incur any additional fees for the re-test, and the number of qualifying candidates, as well as subject-wise allocations, will remain unchanged.

The decision comes after the NTA received several complaints about errors and anomalies in the three question papers. The agency constituted a committee to examine the complaints.
