The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is undergoing a significant leadership restructuring, as announced by national president Nitin Nabin on Monday. This organizational overhaul includes prominent leaders such as Smiriti Irani, Vasundhara Raje Scindia, and Manpreet Badal being appointed as vice presidents of the party. This move is seen as a strategic effort to strengthen the party’s leadership ahead of upcoming political challenges.
Nabin’s election as national president was widely expected to be followed by a comprehensive generational shift in the BJP’s overall organisation as well, which has been long overdue and may well be seen as the ruling party’s response to the recent Gen Z protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and the fallout that has been going on since then.
