They claimed that the latest communication would result in the recovery of advance increments

The University of Delhi has expanded its exception to the CUET-based undergraduate admission system, with three more colleges now allowed to fill vacant seats using Class 12 board examination marks.

Merit-Based Admissions Open at Three Delhi Colleges

Shyam Lal College, Rajdhani College, and Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening) have announced merit-based admissions for select undergraduate programmes. This decision comes after a number of seats remained unfilled following the regular admission process.

Students Gain Admission Opportunities Based on Class 12 Marks

Aditi Mahavidyalaya and Bhagini Nivedita College, two colleges under Delhi University (DU), have recently opened up additional admission opportunities for students. This decision allows candidates who did not gain entry through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to apply for vacant seats using their Class 12 examination scores. This initiative aims to provide a pathway for more students to secure a place in these institutions.

Shyam Lal College Begins Admission Process for New Programs

Shyam Lal College has launched its application process for several new programs, including BSc Physical Science with Chemistry, BSc Physical Science with Electronics, and BA (Hons) Hindi. Applications opened on August 19 and will close on August 21. The merit list is set to be published on August 23, with physical verification scheduled for August 24 and 25.

This move comes amid ongoing challenges for Delhi University colleges in filling seats during the CUET-UG admission cycle. To address remaining vacancies, the university has reintroduced Class 12 performance as an admission criterion, a shift from the previously established entrance-test based system.
