BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday alleged that a group of around 15 unidentified persons forcibly entered the Saifabad Police Station in Hyderabad and attacked his PRO Mahesh and PA Mahender Reddy.
KTR Calls for Inquiry into Alleged Attack Involving Police and Congress Workers
KTR has raised questions about the alleged attack involving Mahesh and Mahender Reddy, suggesting it may have been carried out by Congress workers or possibly involved police personnel in plain clothes as part of a conspiracy. He has demanded an immediate inquiry by a sitting judge to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The BRS working president further claimed that Mahesh and Mahender Reddy were called to the police station regarding a politically motivated case, with the alleged assault occurring in the presence of police officers. KTR criticized the delay in the questioning of the two aides, stating they were asked to appear in the morning but were made to wait until evening.
Additionally, he referenced the High Court’s directives concerning the two aides, alleging that the attack is part of a broader campaign of political vendetta. Recent reports indicate that Mahesh and Mahender Reddy have received High Court relief related to this case.
KTR also urged the immediate preservation of all CCTV footage from the Saifabad Police Station, asserting that the recordings could prove crucial in determining the events that transpired.
These allegations emerge amid escalating tensions between the BRS and the Telangana government over various cases involving party leaders and representatives. Reports have also surfaced regarding police cases involving BRS members at the Saifabad Police Station.
