Two first-year law students from Delhi University have been arrested following an incident in which they allegedly attempted to harass a woman and her friend. The event took place near Mukherjee Nagar, where the students reportedly tried to drag the victims into a car. Police are currently investigating the details of the incident.

A group of men in a white Tata Safari approached them and made comments about the two women. The men then followed the women as they continued walking. A few minutes later, the women stopped to record the incident on video. At this point, the men reportedly came closer and tried to pull them into the car. But even after that, they have not taken any action.
The woman, a first-year Master’s student from Hindu College, in an Instagram video posted on her account, said the incident took place around 9:30 pm on a Wednesday, as she and her friend were walking near Mukherjee Nagar after visiting Vijaynagar Haqiqat Park. “I have visited 3 police stations in the last 4-5 hours. But they are not even writing an FIR…For the last 4 hours, my friends and I have been standing here.
“When my friend took out the phone, they ran away from there,” she said. She and her friend went to Maurice Nagar Police Station to file a complaint, but were told the area where the incident occurred was outside that station’s jurisdiction, according to the student. They do not care that I am standing here in the middle of the night,” she said.
