Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed officials to step up search operations to trace eight fishermen who have been missing since August 3.

Intensified Search Efforts for Missing Fishermen

The Indian Coast Guard, in collaboration with the State fisheries department and the BR Ambedkar Konaseema district administration, is intensifying search operations for eight fishermen who have been missing since their fishing boat departed from Odalarevu jetty on August 3.

Officials have emphasized the need for continued coordination among the agencies involved until the boat and its crew are found.

In an official press release, Naidu stated, “Search operations to trace the eight fishermen must be intensified, and all possible measures should be taken to locate them safely.”

Government Support for Families of Missing Fishermen

Chief Minister Naidu has instructed officials to keep in constant communication with the families of the missing fishermen. He emphasized the importance of providing regular updates on the ongoing search operations. Naidu assured the families that they would receive full support from the government during this challenging time.
