On Monday, a traffic police checking drive in Hyderabad escalated into a confrontation, resulting in the arrest of a 28-year-old man. He is accused of obstructing, abusing, and assaulting the police personnel involved in the operation. The arrest was made on Tuesday, following the incident that raised concerns about the safety of law enforcement officers during routine checks.

“Any obstruction, intimidation or interference with police personnel performing their lawful duties will be met with strict legal action,” the Commissioner said and appealed to motorists to follow traffic rules and cooperate with personnel deployed for traffic regulation.
