Rising CNG prices across Delhi-NCR have placed an additional financial burden on CNG vehicle owners, especially commercial drivers who depend on it daily. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has raised the price of Compressed Natural Gas by Rs 3.89 per kg, with the revised rates coming into effect from 6 am on Saturday, August 29. CNG now costs Rs 95.59 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad, according to IGL’s latest price list. In Meerut, the new price is Rs 95.47 per kg, while motorists in Gurugram will now pay Rs 92.01 per kg.
Revised CNG Prices Announced in Delhi and Surrounding Areas
The Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has updated the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) price in Delhi to Rs 86.98 per kg. This new rate is now reflected on their official website.
Previously, the CNG price was Rs 91.70 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad, while Gurugram’s rate was Rs 88.12 per kg before this revision.
CNG Prices Rise Again Amid Elevated LNG Costs
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has announced a price increase of Rs 3.89 per kg for compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi-NCR, marking the fifth hike this year. This adjustment comes as international liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices remain high, significantly impacting domestic input costs.
The company noted that a large portion of CNG is derived from LNG imports, making local prices particularly responsive to fluctuations in the global market. Earlier this year, IGL raised CNG prices by a total of Rs 6 per kg in four separate phases in May, attributing those increases to rising global energy costs.
