The central government has established a High-Powered Task Force (HPTF) chaired by Nandan Nilekani. The task force is tasked with reviewing and proposing comprehensive reforms to enhance the conduct, security, design, and governance of public examinations, including those administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). In this initiative, the government is actively seeking input from parents, teachers, students, and other stakeholders to inform these recommendations.
Feedback Submission Deadline Announced for Education Stakeholders
The central government has opened channels for feedback from all stakeholders in the education sector. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their suggestions by September 13, 2026. Submissions can be made in English, Hindi, and various regional languages, adhering to the official guidelines provided. This initiative aims to gather valuable insights, experiences, and perspectives to enhance educational policies.
The inputs received through this consultation will assist the High-Powered Task Force in developing recommendations.
A social media post shared by the NTA through its official X handle stated: “The High-Powered Task Force on Reforms in Public Examinations wants to hear from students, parents, teachers, every citizen.
The objective is to develop a robust, secure, transparent, equitable, and future-ready public examination system, according to the Government of India. “The inputs received through this consultation will assist the High-Powered Task Force in developing recommendations,” the official feedback portal stated. The task force will examine measures for strengthening institutional systems and processes, use of appropriate technologies, examination infrastructure, accessibility and inclusion, and student well-being, according to the official document.
