The scheme is aimed at helping students from economically weaker sections continue their higher education. The amount depends on the course chosen by the student. The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has invited applications for the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026 . Under the scholarship scheme, eligible students can receive financial support of up to Rs 50,000 per year. The last date to apply is September 30, 2026.

Students who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% marks in the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26 can apply for the General Scholarship.
