The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted searches at five locations across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi in connection with a cyber-terrorism case involving attempted DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks on 54 Indian government websites and targeting of critical information infrastructure (CII) during Operation Sindoor last year.
The federal agency’s case is based on an FIR registered by the Gujarat Police in June last year.
NIA Identifies Supporters of DDoS Attack Preparations
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has identified several suspects who aided the accused in planning and enhancing their skills for conducting Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. This identification came after a detailed technical analysis during the ongoing investigation. Following this, the NIA conducted searches at the suspects’ locations, having obtained warrants from a competent court.
