The Bihar state government has dismissed two teachers from a government school in Buxar district amid allegations of sexual assault against a female student. The decision was confirmed in an official order issued by the state authorities, reflecting a serious response to the allegations.
Teachers Dismissed Following Investigation
An investigation by the education department has confirmed allegations against two teachers, leading to their dismissal. The teachers, identified as Birendra Pal, an assistant teacher, and Arvind Kumar, a middle school teacher, were suspended on September 2. Following the investigation, officials stated that the allegations were substantiated, resulting in their termination from service.
Three Teachers Accused of Sexual Assault in School Incident
On September 3, an FIR was filed by the mother of a victim against three teachers, including headmaster Mohammad Imam Ali Ansari. The FIR claims that two teachers sexually assaulted a student, recorded inappropriate videos, and subsequently used these recordings to threaten and blackmail her. The headmaster is accused of attempting to protect the two teachers involved.
Following the allegations, police arrested Arvind Kumar, one of the accused teachers, and later apprehended the headmaster. The third suspect, Birendra Pal, was arrested on September 7 at Buxar railway station while reportedly trying to escape.
After the matter came to light, education minister Mithilesh Tiwari had directed the Buxar DM and SP to send the case to a fast track court and a hearing will be held soon.
“After the police investigation and departmental inquiry by the education department, the dismissal action has been taken under Rule 14 (XI) of the Bihar Government Servants (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2005,” said an official aware of the matter.
