The West Bengal government has started collecting blood samples from the immediate family members of individuals who went missing in Nepal following the devastating flash flood on August 26. These DNA samples will be used to match against the profiles of bodies recovered during ongoing search operations in the region. This initiative aims to provide closure to families affected by the tragedy.
