The draft electoral roll for Delhi was released on Monday following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the city. This new roll indicates that approximately 47.7 lakh voters have been removed from the total electorate of 1.45 crore registered voters in the national capital.
Deadline for Claims on Voter Exclusions in Delhi
Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer, Ashok Kumar, announced that individuals excluded from the voter list can submit their claims until September 30. Claims must be filed using Form 6 along with necessary supporting documents. The finalized voter list is scheduled for release on November 4, 2026.
Voters can check whether their names appear in the draft electoral roll on the Election Commission’s voter services portal. More details awaited. During the SIR process in Delhi, forms of 67.18 per cent of the 1,45,10,299 voters in the capital were collected. Of this, around 97.5 lakh electors were verified and named in the list. The SIR exercise in Delhi began on June 30 and ended on August 17.
The remaining 47.7 lakh electors have been categorised as “uncollectable” under Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO).
