Sangita Chandgude, along with her husband and son, tragically passed away in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. This incident occurred just one day after she shared a video on her YouTube channel, highlighting her active engagement online prior to her death.
The incident took place at Khavda Hill in the Tisgaon area under Waluj MIDC police jurisdiction on Friday. As they tried to persuade him to back down, many others, including the police, fire brigade personnel, villagers and the sarpanch reached the spot. “It seems he was deliberately attempting to take the extreme step. The situation continued for nearly three hours. The teenager suddenly jumped, and his father also fell while trying to grab and save him,” Rameshwar Gade, inspector at Waluj MIDC police station.
Rescue personnel tried to place a safety net at the foothill, but the 19-year-old repeatedly changed his position near the edge, making it difficult for them to anticipate where he might jump, police said, HT reported earlier. After 1 pm, his father slowly approached him and pleaded with him to step away from the edge.
“If a woman has a job, they say she is neglecting her family to work. If she stays at home, they say, ‘She is so educated, yet she just sits at home and lives off her husband. If she laughs and talks with someone, they call her characterless. If she doesn’t talk, they call her arrogant. “So, don’t worry about what people think. People will judge you and put labels on you no matter what you do. So, live for yourself. You get only one life, so enjoy it. Live for yourself, live for your children, do what feels right to you, and be happy. Right?”
