Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced on Monday that all exams conducted by the TDPL, including the JSSC-CGL examination, will be canceled. This decision comes in response to ongoing protests by students who have raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
Soren also announced that the Cabinet has decided to cancel the JSSC-CGL examinations. The chief minister also announced a formation of a exam reforms committee, which will be headed by senior IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren said, “Addressing all aspects of the issue, we have decided to cancel everything associated with TDPL—including the examinations conducted, the results published, the candidates selected or who participated, and all other activities carried out by TDPL.
We will also soon convene to discuss the amendments made to the MMDR Act by the Central Government; if necessary, we may even call a special session to deliberate on this specific issue…”, added Soren. “Furthermore, a comprehensive inquiry will be conducted into all errors—minor or major—that have occurred since 2014.
