The Goa Cricket Association on Friday released the names of its full Ranji Trophy squad. However, a report had claimed that Arjun had decided to stay on with Goa. Arjun Tendulkar , who has been playing for Goa since the 2022-23 season, was not picked in the squad. Arjun, the son of cricket great Sachin Tendulkar , recently completed 50 wickets in first-class cricket for Goa. Recently, the 27-year-old also missed Goa’s tour of Oman.
However, Arjun’s name was missing from the squad list. He also featured in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The squad comprises Abhinav Tejrana (Captain), Suyash Prabhudesai, Manthan Khutkar, Lalit Yadav, Snehal Kauthankar, Shivendra Bhujbal, Koushik V, Shubham Tari, Ruthvik Naik, Darshan Misal, Yash Kasvankar, Amulya Pandrekar, Deepraj Gaonkar , Rajshekhar Harikant, Mohit Redkar and Felix Alemao,” an Instagram post by the Goa Cricket Association read. “The team will be guided by head coach Dinesh Mongia , with Krishna Rao serving as bowling coach, Senior Men’s Director of Coaching and Cricket Operations Prakash Mayenkar, and manager Anil Joglekar. “Goa Cricket Association president Mahesh Desai, secretary Tulshidas Shetye and the entire Managing Committee extended their best wishes to the team for the upcoming Ranji Trophy tournament. They conveyed their support and wished the squad success as it prepares to represent Goa on the domestic cricket stage.”
Arjun Tendulkar last played for Goa in the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy against Kerala at Porvorim. “Goa Cricket Association has announced its squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy campaign, with Abhinav Tejrana appointed captain of the 16-member team.
