Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been left out of England’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain. Because he had been playing through discomfort, palmer, who was also omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad earlier this year, was recalled for last month’s internationals but subsequently withdrew.

“He misses way too many camps with injuries, and I only want to rely on what I witness and see within my team, and for that you have to be in camp,” Tuchel had said at the time.

Palmer has started all of Chelsea’s Premier League matches this season, scoring five goals. However, his omission from Tuchel’s latest squad means he will likely have to wait until next year for another opportunity to establish himself in the England setup. Manchester City forward Phil Foden also continues to be overlooked after being left out of the World Cup squad. Meanwhile, Jobe Bellingham has earned his first senior England call-up following his impressive form for Borussia Dortmund this season. The midfielder joins his elder brother, Jude Bellingham, in the national squad after representing England at every level from Under-16s to Under-21s. Fulham midfielder Josh King has also received his maiden senior call-up. England Squad
