The Indian Representative Office in Ramallah issued a statement confirming discussions between Indian officials and Palestinian representatives. Key topics included the state of India-Palestine relations, the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and India’s commitment to development partnerships with the Palestinian people.

The Indian Secretary reaffirmed the nation’s longstanding support for the Palestinian people and emphasized the importance of a negotiated two-state solution. She also reiterated India’s dedication to fostering peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomatic efforts for a lasting political resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Both sides reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between the peoples of India and Palestine and expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and ties between the two countries, the statement added.

They discussed new areas of cooperation where India’s development experience could help address the needs of the Palestinian people, according to the statement. “Progress on the Government of India-funded Palestinian Institute of Diplomacy and the anticipated cooperation with the Sushma Swaraj Foreign Service Institute came in for special attention during the discussions,” the statement further said.
