The Ladakh administration has launched an initiative to provide 2,000 paid internships across 25 government departments. This program aims to offer students and young adults in the Union Territory valuable hands-on experience in public administration. Applications are now open, presenting a significant opportunity for youth to engage directly with government operations.

Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena launched the ‘Zhabstok Ladakh’ Youth Internship Portal on Saturday. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official portal at internship.ladakh.gov.in Under the LG Yuva Internship Programme, selected candidates will work with different departments of the Ladakh administration and get first-hand exposure to how government offices function. With a large proportion of Ladakh’s population below the age of 30, the administration expects the programme to bring more young people into government-linked projects and public administration work.
Candidates will be allotted departments based on their skills and interests, according to the administration. Speaking at the launch, Lieutenant Governor Saxena said the programme would allow young people to gain practical experience while contributing their ideas to different government departments.
