The party chief is learnt to have told the team members that they will keep the focus on nationalism and hit the ground running in poll-bound states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa, according to a person aware of the details. “The party passed a resolution on honouring the history and legacy of Vande Mataram and it will launch a campaign on the ground to expose the Congress and their appeasement politics that has forced the party to disrespect the National Song,” said the functionary quoted above. Following the gathering, PM Modi said such meetings are “all about new ideas and perspectives aimed at strengthening the party”.
