Dubai-based carrier flydubai has temporarily suspended all the flights to and from Israel after a plane made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after briefly transmitting emergency codes, including one associated with a possible hijacking.

Flight FZ1073, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 bound for Ben Gurion Airport, sent an emergency alert shortly after departing Dubai International Airport. Following the incident involving flight FZ 1073 on 30 September, and in coordination with the relevant authorities, flydubai flights to and from Israel will be suspended while the investigation continues.
The low-cost carrier said that the safety and wellbeing of passengers, crew and operations is their highest priority and this temporary suspension will allow the relevant authorities to continue their work and establish all the facts surrounding the incident.
