The United States is reportedly ready to negotiate with Iran after Tehran sent seven conditions to end the six months of war in the Middle East, which has now escalated with hostilities between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis .
“Seven conditions of Iran for starting any negotiation have been announced to the US government. However, Iran demanded that credible and tangible guarantees that it will not be attacked again. Tehran’s message is clear and unambiguous; if Washington wants to get out of the quagmire it has created itself and not get more entangled in it, it has no choice but to accept Iran’s rights and conditions,” he posted on X early Sunday. “We remain in contact with the mediator Qatar, which has conveyed our conditions to Washington with the aim of ending the war.
The source said that Iran is prepared to resume implementing a previously reached memorandum of understanding within days if the US returns to the agreement and fulfills its terms. Once the US implements the substance of the MoU, including ending hostilities and allowing Iran to export oil, Iran will immediately launch negotiations on the nuclear issue and the lifting of sanctions, the source said. The head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, has said that Tehran has conveyed its seven conditions for ending the war and it is waiting for President Donald Trump’s response . In an interview with Qatar’s Al Jazeera published Saturday, Rezaei said the conditions include ending the war on all fronts, releasing assets seized from Iran and ending the US naval blockade of Iranian ports. He also said Iran wants the fighting involving Yemen and Saudi Arabia to end. We are awaiting President [Donald] Trump’s response,” he told Al Jazeera. He also said the possibility of new US strike against Iran was “very much on the cards” based on his country’s military assessments.
