The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to launch a service campaign called ‘Seva Pakhwada’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch a service campaign called ‘Seva Pakhwada’ from September 17 to October 2. This initiative commemorates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in constitutional public office, according to party officials.

The campaign will include public service and welfare activities such as sanitation drives, blood donation camps and health camps, and will also highlight the welfare measures and schemes announced during his premiership. The PM took oath as the chief minister of Gujarat in 2001 and has been in the current position since 2014.

The decision was taken at the first meeting of the new national team, chaired by party president Nitin Nabin, on Saturday. BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde will be the convener of a seven-member team that has been set up to chalk out the plan. The party will also organise intellectual conferences and seminars on themes of good governance, development and ‘Antyodaya’ (uplift of the marginalised), as well as interactive sessions with youth. A team comprising Nabin, Tawde, Smriti Irani, Gujarat minister Harsh Sanghavi, Chhattisgarh minister OP Choudhary and several others will bolster its Gen Z outreach.

A team will be formed in every state, comprising a minister, an organisational general secretary and five senior leaders, to coordinate the programmes, according to party sources.
