On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu officially received credentials from the ambassadors of six countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Moldova, and Germany. The ceremony took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, marking an important diplomatic event as India strengthens its international relations.
President Murmu had on July 20 visited Moldova, the first by any Indian head of state, as part of her three-nation tour of European countries aimed at boosting ties in trade, technology and tourism sectors among others.
Among those who presented their credentials were Sitona Abdalla Osman, Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan, Abdulla Saif Ali Slayem Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the UAE, and Muhammad Saidu Dahiru, High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a statement issued by the President’s office said. Inga Ionesii, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Jasper Wieck, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany and Petra Menander, Ambassador of Sweden, also presented their credentials, it said.
