The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three of the four central posts – President, Secretary and Joint Secretary. Delhi University Election Results 2026: The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election results have been declared after the completion of 20 rounds of vote counting.
Election Results: ABVP and Independent Candidates Triumph
In the latest student elections, ABVP’s Yash Dabas secured the President position with 24,576 votes, defeating NSUI’s Vijay Shankar Meena, who garnered 22,523 votes. Riya Chhawdi of ABVP won the Secretary role with 21,650 votes, while Lakshya Raj Singh also from ABVP claimed the Joint Secretary position with 16,615 votes.
In a notable upset, independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen, a former NSUI member, won the Vice-President post with 30,615 votes. ABVP’s Ishu Maurya followed in second place with 16,910 votes, while NSUI’s Vir Chatrath received 4,313 votes.

ABVP has won all four key posts at Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Sri Aurobindo College (Morning), Dr BR Ambedkar College, Bharati College and Shivaji College. At Ramjas College, ABVP candidates won the posts of President, Secretary, Central Councillor and Internal Complaints Committee. These results are specific to individual colleges and are not the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election results.
