Supreme Court Intervenes in NEET Protest FIRs
The Supreme Court has intervened in the ongoing situation regarding the NEET paper leak protests in Delhi. This decision follows the government’s request to quash 13 FIRs filed against student protesters. The government assured the court that students would not face harassment related to the protests.
Additionally, the government sought permission to file a new FIR against 2,873 individuals present at the protest site, aiming to investigate their purported involvement in the violence during the agitation. The issue of these FIRs has emerged as a significant demand from the protestors, prompting the Supreme Court’s involvement.
