At an age when most teenagers are still exploring their career options, Lakshmanan Meyyappan had already completed a professional accounting qualification. Meyyappan has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest male Chartered Accountant. He achieved the record in Dubai at the age of 16 years and 141 days, according to Guinness World Records.

Young Finance Student Achieves ACCA Qualification During Pandemic
Meyyappan began his finance journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, shortly after completing his Class 10 board examinations. At just 15 years old, he dedicated himself to studying for the ACCA qualification, which he successfully completed in about a year.
His experience highlights an alternative path for students, demonstrating that pursuing professional qualifications can begin soon after finishing school. Rather than stopping at the ACCA, Meyyappan has continued his education while simultaneously gaining valuable experience in the financial sector.
