India’s food regulatory authorities are intensifying efforts to ensure food safety across the nation. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has initiated a significant crackdown targeting multiple chain restaurants and luxury hotels amid rising quality concerns. This enforcement action focuses on companies that have been mislabeling their products, leading to a prohibition on the sale of such items. The move underscores a commitment to uphold food safety standards and protect consumers from misleading practices.

Food samples collected from the outlet were sent for testing. – Large amount of expired meat was found from premium hotels in Mysuru on Saturday after the Food Safety Department carried out raid. A wide range of companies, including consumer goods company Dabur, alcohol brand Old Monk, quick commerce delivery platforms Zepto , Blinkit and Instamart are facing scrutiny.
