The Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) Instagram account faced a temporary block in India for approximately two hours on Saturday morning. Despite this restriction, the account remained accessible to users outside the country.

CJP Recovers Instagram Account Amid Ongoing Restrictions

The Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) has successfully recovered its Instagram account, which had been blocked in India. The party claimed that opponents chose Independence Day to silence its voice, stating, “We will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts,” in a post on X.

This incident marks the second time the CJP’s Instagram account has faced restrictions in India; it was previously inaccessible on July 22. At that time, a CJP spokesperson noted that no legal notice had been issued.

The recent recovery follows a period during which the CJP’s X handle, @CJP_2029, was withheld in India from May 21 to July 7 under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. The CJP had sought intervention from the Delhi High Court to restore access to its X account.

These events come in the wake of the CJP’s protests against NEET paper leaks and the resignation of former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
