The recruitment drive is being conducted by the Ministry of Law and Justice under. The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) is set to end the online application process on Sunday, August 16, 2026, for the recruitment of Senior Private Secretary and Private Secretary posts. The application window opened on July 18, 2026. Eligible candidates have until 11:59 PM today to submit their applications.

New Requirements for Applicants Announced
Applicants for the program must hold a degree from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification. Additionally, candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in English shorthand at a speed of 120 words per minute and achieve a typing speed of 45 words per minute. A working knowledge of computers is also a prerequisite for all applicants.
Selection Process for Candidates
Candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process that includes a written examination, a skill test, and a personal interview. Following these assessments, document verification and other necessary formalities will be conducted.
The written examination consists of papers in General English, General Knowledge, and Reasoning, with each paper valued at 100 marks. The skill test will evaluate candidates’ proficiency in English shorthand and typing at specified speeds. The personal interview will be scored out of 75 marks.
