A 64-year-old man has made headlines for completing his MTech degree while balancing work and extensive travel. His son, Shashank Srivastava, shared the news on X, highlighting that his father ranked among the top 10 students in his class, which included many younger peers. This accomplishment is particularly remarkable given that he pursued his studies post-retirement, despite not having a surplus of free time.
His journey has now taken another turn, with plans to pursue an Executive Education programme at IIM Lucknow. Even while handling professional responsibilities and travelling nearly 1,000 km by road every week, he managed to prepare for his examinations. Despite travelling close to 1,000 km every week, he continued his studies and completed the MTech last month.
His son said that his father used the time between journeys to prepare notes, study and get ready for examinations. “At an age when most people are done setting goals, he is filling out application forms,” Shashank wrote, underlining his father’s continued interest in learning and professional growth.
