Police discovered the body of a 28-year-old man hanging in his rented house in the CB Ganj police station area on Sunday. This incident occurred about a month after he had entered into a love marriage. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently being investigated as suspicious by law enforcement officials.
Police said some members of Faizan’s family were displeased with the marriage and had cut off ties with him. She said he remained under stress over the estrangement from his family.
She then informed her family and in-laws about the incident, following which police were alerted. Police said Faizan had married Jasmine, 22, and the couple had been living separately from their families in a rented house. Circle Officer (City-2) Nitin Kumar said police had collected evidence from the spot and recorded statements of family members.

Faizan’s relatives told police that blood was oozing from his head and expressed suspicion over the circumstances surrounding his death. Police said further action would be taken based on the post-mortem report, evidence collected from the scene, and statements from family members.
